A slightly sweet twist on the traditional hummus recipe.
Ingredients
2large onions
2tablespoonsolive oil
pinchof salt
2cans3 cups chickpeas
1 ½cupswater
¾cupolive oil
¼cupsesame seeds
3tablespoonslemon juice
2clovesgarlic
1/2tspsalt
Instructions
Once the onions are caramelized, place them and the rest of the ingredients in a high-powered blender (I am a huge fan of the vitamix!). Use the instructions for your blender. With the Vitamix, turn on low, crank up the dial, then flip the switch for high power. Use the tamper until the hummus is velvety smooth.
